revenger Админ. answered 4 years agoThe active antenna has a built-in amplifier. The amplifier itself is located inside, and its power and control passes through the TV cable. Such antennas do not have sufficient reliability and often break due to moisture entering the circuit or due to thunderstorms. Accordingly, it is best to use a passive antenna, it has a separate external amplifier with autonomous operation. The probability of failure of a passive antenna is minimal if used correctly.
