Parabolic ones have a direct focus, that is, they focus the signal from the satellite in the center of their circle. Not very practical to use in winter, as snow sticks on top, which degrades the signal quality. Offset antennas have a shifted focus and have an oval reflector. More popular antennas, since you can install an additional converter to receive 2-3 satellites. Before buying an antenna and choosing its diameter, decide which channels you would like to watch. If the channels you have chosen are broadcast from one satellite, then you will need to install one of two types of antennas, the diameter of which depends on the coverage area of the satellite, i.e. the smaller the satellite coverage area, the weaker the signal and, therefore, the larger the antenna diameter. If you want to use two satellites, located next to each other on the polar axis, then take one offset antenna, install two converters on it. To view more than two satellites or satellites that are far apart, install an antenna with a rotary mechanism that allows you to automatically move the antenna to the specified satellites.
